The H Residence MT Haryono Review & Ratings
The H Residence MT Haryono is a mid range apartment featuring 22 floors and 509 units apartment. The apartment was established in 2014 and occupied 4,850 m2 of land by HK Realtindo. It also includes the 3-star Harper Hotel on the 3rd floor to 5th floor.
The H Residence MT Haryono offers comfort living in downtown with spacious units and relaxing ambience. The apartment lies in a strategic location as it is flanked by four main toll roads to inside and outside the city. You can find many offices nearby and reaching them is not a big deal for residents.

THE H RESIDENCE MT HARYONO APARTMENT FACILITY
The H Residence MT Haryono doesn’t have promising facility for residents. Most of facilities are on the 2nd floor and residents shared their facility with Harper’s hotel guests. These basic facilities are available for both residents and hotel guests.
The H Residence has a semi-indoor swimming pool on the 2nd floor. The pool shape is rectangle and it is meant for both adult and kids. Parents should put more effort on watching their kids, since there is no strict boundary between adult and kids pool. There are no lifeguard as well, thus the safety depends solely on residents.
The water temperature is rather cold. However the air condition in this floor is pretty dry and a bit polluted by vehicle emission below. There are some benches beside the pool. Despite residents can relaxed on the benches, the scenery provides here is not really compelling.

Located on the same floor, there is a gym for residents. The gym occupied a medium size room and it featured a complete equipment. For residents who want to use the gym equipment, they should join for membership. The admission fee is Rp 100.000 ($ 7.05) and the monthly membership fee is Rp 600.000 ($ 42,28).
When residents have registered and became the member, they could enjoy the facility freely. Moreover, they could also join zumba and yoga class that often held in the room inside the gym.
On the first floor, there is an outdoor cafe. Residents don’t have to go outside apartment to get some food, this cafe provides it all. The cafe is not featured with roof, thus visitors are not protected from raindrops. Luckily, there are also dining tables inside the Harper’s cafe. Residents can eat there together with hotel guests.
There is an ATM center on the first floor. However, the ATM is only available for Mandiri user.
Parking lot is a basic need for residents, fortunately, The H Residence has sufficient parking lot for residents. The parking lot occupied two floors in a basement, B1 and B2 floor. The shortcoming is both hotel guests and residents are using the same parking lot.
There are three types of room leased by The H Residence MT. Haryono, Studio, 1BR and 2BR. The amenities in studio unit includes 1 bathroom, kitchen, dining set, AC, access card, refrigerator, and television. For 1BR and 2BR, the amenities include AC, hot water tap, dining set, 1 bathroom (for 1BR), 2 bathroom (2BR), access card, kitchen, refrigerator and television. Apartment official also equipped those three units with internet and cable TV.
The most noticeable differences between the three units is their room size. The size of studio unit is 37 sqm, 42 sqm for 1BR unit and 64 sqm for 2BR unit. For the price range, 2BR unit is the most expensive, Rp 9.500.000 ($ 670) per month, followed by 1BR unit, Rp 7.590.000 ($ 535) per month and studio, Rp 5.960.000 ($ 420).
If you want to live in a spacious studio apartment with friendly budget, renting studio unit in The H Residence MT Haryono is indeed the right choice. It has a wide room (37 sqm) full with minimalist furniture. Since the furniture is not too large, there were many empty spaces left and residents can use it to place a new furniture or even create a new room using partition. The bathroom is rather small, but comfortable enough for residents. There is no bathtub inside.
The brightness level inside this unit is perfect. There is a large window that allows sunlight to come in. However, if you want to live in a quite place, here is not the best place. Even though I am in the 17th floor, car horn below are still hearable. No matter how tight I close the window in my unit, car horn sound are still inevitable.
ENVIRONMENT AROUND THE APARTMENT:
The apartment neighborhood consist of some city infrastructures, such as road, highway, high rise building and houses. It is a pretty busy neighborhood since you can find many offices nearby. Some area around the apartment are still under development as well, thus gridlocked may occurred.
In terms of public facilities, there are not much here. Residents should drive for more than 2 km to find the nearest shopping center. I cannot find mini market inside the apartment either, so there are not so many alternatives left.
Honestly, the scenery here is not that interesting. It is a typical scenery you will find on Jakarta’s outskirt.
I want to emphasize that even though the neighborhood around The H Rresidence looks uncompelling, invest in The H Residence is still worth it. First the surrounding area are still under development, when it all complete, the new edifice can support the presence of The H Residence. Second, the completion of LRT near apartment can raise the rent price up. Last, MT Haryono has a chance to be a secondary business district in East Jakarta. The apartment also not overcrowded by visitor. So, I’m sure there were many vacant units left.
OTHER THINGS YOU MIGHT LOVE:
Even though The H Residence doesn’t have complete facility, residents are still able to access these public facility with ease:
BNN Bus Halt
The presence of BNN Bus Halt really help residents who like to commute using Transjakarta. This halt provides 7A (Kampung Rambutan-Lebak Bulus), 7B (Kampung Rambutan-Blok M), 9A (PGC 2-Pluit) and 10 (PGC 2-Tanjung Priok) bus corridor. You can get to BNN bus halt by walking through JPO beside the apartment building.
Another transportation mode residents could chose is train. Residents can reach it by driving for 7 minutes. From here, residents can access Tebet Station, Manggarai Station, Cikini Station, Duren Kalibata Station, Tanah Abang Station until Jakarta Kota Station.
Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport
Easy access to Halim Perdana Kususma Airport is probably the most prominent advantage a person would get if he/she decided to live in The H Residence MT Haryono. It only takes 15 minutes driving to get to Halim. This airport provides domestic and international flight service using various airline, such as:

Carrefour MT Haryono
As one of leading chain store in Indonesia, Carrefour offers a complete consumer goods for residents. To get here, residents can drive a car for 14 minutes. Carrefour can also be a nice place to hangout, since there are many restaurants inside, for example A&W, KFC, Baskin Robins, etc.
Pusat Grosir Cililitan (Center of Grocery Store in Cililitan) is one of the largest grocery stores in East Jakarta that is built for middle-low customer. Here you can find many clothing store with various option and cheap price. There are also restaurants and food court for visitor to hangout with. The H Residence residents can get here by 10 minutes driving.
For healthcare, residents can access Tebet Hospital which is located 3,6 km away from apartment. Tebet Hospital provides various medical treatment for patient from mild injury to the severe one, for instance dialysis, biopsy, bronkoskopi, radiology, surgery, minor surgery, etc.

The H Residence actually has the capability to become one of the greatest apartment in East Jakarta. It is located in MT Haryono, one of the central business district in East Jakarta and South Jakarta. There are many offices nearby and their numbers keep growing. LRT station lies next to the apartment, in the future, residents can travel using LRT with ease. Reaching Halim airport is not hard as well since the airport is 3,7 km away. Moreover, most of the units in The H Residents have a spacious room and they are leased at a reasonable price.
However, those strong points seem to be overshadowed by the weaknesses The H Residence had. First, it has run-of-the-mill-facility (gym, café and swimming pool, that’s it?). The fact that residents and hotel guests shared the same facility on the same floor is even worse. Second, there is no public facility nearby. Residents cannot walk around the apartment to find mini-market or chain store, they must drive a car or take a taxi. Not to mention the scenery they provide is plain and not interesting.
