Although its location in the eastern part of Jakarta makes Cikarang seem very far away, actually Cikarang is quite easy to reach. If you use a private vehicle, you can use the Cikampek toll road and get off at the Cikarang Timur, Cikarang Barat, or Cikarang Utama toll booths. However, keep in mind that there are even odd rules for users of the Cikampek toll road that is valid from Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 9:00. This odd-even number rule applies during the construction of national strategic infrastructure on the Cikampek toll road.
From Blok M Terminal and Kalideres Terminal, passengers can also take a bus to Cikarang Terminal or Jababeka. There is also a DAMRI bus with the Jababeka - Soekarno Hatta Airport route for Cikarang residents who need to travel to the airport. For residents in Lippo Cikarang, there is a shuttle bus from Lippo which will connect the population to several points in Jakarta.
KRL users can get off at Cikarang Station or Lemah Abang Station and continue the trip with various routes of angkot or ojek to the destination. For TransJakarta users, you should be patient first. Although there is no Jakarta - Cikarang route yet, there is already a discourse from TransJakarta to open three routes, namely Cikarang - Senen, Cikarang - Blok M, and Cikarang - Kalideres. The opening of these three routes will further help mobilize passengers who will go to or exit Cikarang.
To get around inside the Cikarang area, you can rely on public transportation with various routes, taxis, shuttle buses, or online application-based vehicles.
